Aquariums

Tiles: Vary according to Aquarium Size

Lockdowns: Vary according to Aquarium Size and Decorations

Supplies Needed

  • Black fabric in three different types (cut, folded type C, and folded type D - see below for how to identify the different styles) - You will need 4 pieces of each type for each tile of aquarium you want to build.

  • Cut fabric dyed in varying shades of blue and green (you will need two pieces of each color for each tile of aquarium you want to build). You will need nine different colors.

  • Cut fabric dyed light brown (sand colored); you will need 2 pieces for each tile of aquarium you want to build.

  • Magic fish (numbers vary according to aquarium size, etc.)

  • Shells (numbers vary according to aquarium size, etc.)

  • Onions (numbers vary according to aquarium size, etc.)

  • Fish steaks (numbers vary according to aquarium size, etc.)

How to identify the different types of cloth:

Cut Cloth

(The cloth left over after you make something from folded cloth or a bolt of cloth)

Cloth C

(Smooth and light compared to the other types)

Cloth D

(More rumpled than the other types)

Instructions:

These instructions are for one tile of an aquarium; you can easily make a much larger aquarium by repeating these steps in the next tile over, and the tile after that, etc.

1. Place two pieces of black Cloth C on the ground.

2. Place two pieces of black Cloth D on top of that.

3. Drag the pieces of Cloth C onto your paperdoll (the large image of your character) and let them go (they will snap back and everything will be lowered so that the pieces of cloth line up in a straight line).

4. Lock down both types of fabric.

5. Cover the fabric with two pieces of black Cut Cloth. Lock them down.

6. Cover the fabric pile with two pieces of light brown Cut Cloth. Lock them down.

7. Now you will stack two pieces of each of the colored fabrics until you have nine layers of fabric (the blues and greens). Lock them all down as you go.

8. Lay two pieces of black Cloth C on top of everything.

9. Lay two pieces of black Cloth D on top of that.

10. Drag the pieces of Cloth C onto your paperdoll and let them snap back.

11. Lock both Cloth C and Cloth D down.

12. Stack two pieces of black Cut Cloth on top of everything. Lock them down.

13. Now you have completed one tile of empty aquarium. Repeat these steps in the tiles next to that one if you want a wider aquarium. When you are done move on to the next step.

14. In order to stock your aquarium, you will be stacking fish steaks in front of the aquarium tiles until they reach to the bottom of the water (you may have to experiment with the stacking as different things stack in different locations).

15. Stack shells and/or fish on top of the fish steaks and lock them down. You may use more fish steaks in between items as spacers if you wish to do so. Also you can stack onions as underwater plants.

16. Repeat this process until your aquarium is filled with fish and decorations.

17. Now you're done! Just wait for the fish steaks to decay and disappear (this will take a while) and you'll be left with a beautiful aquarium!
