How to identify different types of cloth:

Cut Cloth

(left over after you make something from folded cloth or a bolt of fabric)

Instructions:

These instructions are for a king sized bed. If you are making a single, only follow the instructions for one row of the bed, and if you are making a queen sized leave the middle row out. Feel free to adapt/experiment with these instructions as you see fit...

1. Stack 6 wooden benches in the first tile of your headboard area (generally against a wall), locking them all down.

2. In the tile next to that, stack 2 wooden benches and lock them down.

3. Stack three individual fish steaks on top of that (one at a time).

4. Stack one bench on top of the steaks and lock it down.

5. In the tile next to that, stack 6 wooden benches, locking them down as you go.

6. Stack whatever decorations you like on top of the headboard and lock them down. You can use stacked fishsteaks (not locked down) or an interior decorating tool to give them the right height.

7. Stack four fish steaks in the first tile in front of the headboard.

8. On top of that, stack 2 pieces of each color of cut cloth (4 pieces total) and lock them down.

9. Do this in the next two tiles as well, so that you have a row of fabric.

10. Stack a long narrow pillow (dyed a complimentary color) in each of the two outside tiles and lock them down.

11. Stack one of the three square pillows (also dyed a complimentary color) on top of the middle pile of fabric and lock it down.

12. If you're using the very small square pillows, you may want to stack them on top of the narrow pillows in the outside tiles. If you're using the larger square pillows, you may want to wait and stack them in the outside tiles of the next row of fabric.

13. If you so desire, now would be a good time to lock down a couple of decorative items on top of the center square pillow (I used a rose and a book).

14. Stack another row of 4 fishsteaks in each tile.

15. Stack two pieces of each color on top of each pile of fishsteaks and lock them down (to make another row of fabric).

16. If you decided to do so, stack the other two square pillows in the outside tiles of this row and lock them down.

17. Stack four fish steaks in each of the next three tiles.

18. Stack two pieces of each color on top of the fish steaks and lock them down.

Congratulations, you're done! A lot of personal preference is involved in making the right bed, so you may want to experiment... some things that you can do differently are to use benches or stools under the fabric instead of fish steaks, or to use different decorations on the head board or pillows... just have fun!
